We had a field trip to Petsmart over the weekend. Scarlett still refuses to go into the store under her own power. We get just outside the door and she stops and won't go a step further. You have to drag or carry her to get her in the store. She does the same thing once she is inside.I carried her into the store. She now weighs 30 pounds and gets heavy after awhile. So, she had to go in a cart this time. We only had the cell phone camera so the photo isn't the best - but it is my favorite of the week.

Aww, do you think it's the cool tile floors or just that it's such a public place?
Wow! She's getting big! Hehe..um she might get used the that carting around though LOL!
She just keeps on getting cuter all the time. I bet its the smell of the place that she dosen't like.
This must be a characteristic of the breed! Does Sherman go inside the store? I know you can't lift him into the cart. Did she get a treat anyway???

Your puppy is beautiful and I enjoy reading your blog! If I may offer some suggestions in getting your puppy more comfortable to going in places such as Petsmart.
Petsmart is a lot of sensory overload for any dog...especially a young frightened puppy. I would start taking her to other places and walking outside where there are many people coming and going...such a grocery stores etc..
Are there any feed stores etc. near you that she may be welcome to come inside?
Does you have other dogs/puppies she is able to play with?
I would just take a step back in her socialization and not drag her to places that she is not comfortable with.
