I actually collected teapots for a very short time when I had my first home. I had a couple odd shelves in that kitchen that needed something, so I begin picking up teapots from yard sales and flea markets. As a result, I now have a small box of teapots in the attic. I decided I might as well get one out of the box and knit a cozy.I've always wanted to knit the felted tea cozy from the little book entitled Vogue Knitting on the Go: Felting. It is a book I bought when I first started knitting and fell in love with felted items. The cozy is on the cover.
I never thought I could actually knit it before because of the short row shaping. Now I have knit several things that had short rows and wrapping and turning - so all is good. I grabbed a couple skeins of Kureyon and started my cozy.
I'm almost done knitting the pattern as written. I just need to decide what to do and get a little more finished so I can felt the thing, sew on some buttons, and add another finished object to my list.

That cozy will look fabulous! Where will you sit it? I love the colors. What a "quick" and wonderful project.
I love the idea and your tea pot collection. If I remember, I'll have to send you a photo of my very favorite tea pot. I got it during a dollection phase of my own, but not tea pots. Can't wait to see it.
Love the teapot collection! Can't wait to see the cozy! :)
That's a pretty sampling of teapots. Can't wait to see your felted cozy.
I love your teapot collection! No matter which one the cozy goes on, it'll be happy and colorful. It's a great quick project.
Your teapost are way to beautiful to be covered with anything! Don't hide them in the attic! I like teapots and coffee pots as well. Have a few myself. ;o)
Your teapot collection is really fabulous - awesome colors! - and this cozy is going to look so perfect with them - with all of them! Great project indeed!
Love the teapot cover. I am looking for a pattern for a pot cover to knit for my Sis for Xmas! I can't seem to get the book in any bookstore. Is there a chance you could post it so i can read it on the web!? Thanks Nickey (currently knitting Xmas stockings for niece and nephew!)
